2010 Linden Summer Happening

36th Annual Summer Happening Carnival by Skerbek Brothers Shows Inc.

Where: Linden Elementary (Bridge Street), park at Hyatt Elementary, enter off Stan Eaton Dr. (Old Linden Middle School)

The carnival runs from Thursday evening until Sunday evening located on the Hyatt Elementary School grounds. Skerbeck Bros. Show, Inc. will have several rides for all ages. Wrist Bands are available Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 (noon) until 6:00 PM.

Costs: Wristbands and tickets prices will be the same price as last year. Wristbands will be $20 each. Good from noon to 6:00 pm. Tickets are $1 per coupon, a sheet of 50 coupons will be sold for $40. The number of tickets per ride has not changed from last year either. So, most kiddie rides are 2 coupons, most major rides are 3 coupons, and spectacular rides are 4 coupons.

Also this year we are teaming up with the Michigan Food Bank. When you bring in 3 can food items recieve a $1.00 off a wristband.

Martez has toured across the country performing at comedy clubs and colleges. Comedy clubs include the Improv in Miami and West Palm Beach, Florida and Caroline’s in New York just to name a few. Martez has also been named one of Robert Townsend’s Partners in Crime, “The Next Generation,” which is Robert Townsend’s latest addition to the classic Partners in Crime. The television show airs on The Black Family Channel on Comcast cable and DVD’s can be purchased at www.roberttownsend.com . Martez has also competed in and been a finalist in many comedy competitions, such as The Bay Area Comedy Competition, Miller Genuine Draft Comedy Search, Comics on Fire just to name a few.

I have been a comedian my entire life, and have been performing professionally in clubs and colleges for the last several years. My comedy view comes from my sad, pathetic life as a divorced grandmother; I make fun of myself before everyone else does. I’ve been referred to as “Donna Reed on Acid”. I’m “Making Lemonade”. I have also won several comedy contests. Really, I’m quite funny!

Nathan has been a featured performer at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California and most recently Nathan was a consultant for Penn and Teller’s NBC special.

Aaron Campbell Dunlap has been doing stand-up comedy for fifteen years all across the country. Locally, you can see him perform at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle, Connxtions, or Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase. Aaron recently appeard on the live taping of Mark Bonto’s award winning show “Comedy on Tap” as well as Tom Sumner’s “Off the Kuf” on 94.3FM. Aaron’s roots have brought him back to the Flint Comedy scene and you can usually see him performing Wednesday’s at Stephen James Improv Comedy Troupe.
