2010 Linden Summer Happening

36th Annual Summer Happening Carnival by Skerbek Brothers Shows Inc.

Where: Linden Elementary (Bridge Street), park at Hyatt Elementary, enter off Stan Eaton Dr. (Old Linden Middle School)

The carnival runs from Thursday evening until Sunday evening located on the Hyatt Elementary School grounds. Skerbeck Bros. Show, Inc. will have several rides for all ages. Wrist Bands are available Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 (noon) until 6:00 PM.

Costs: Wristbands and tickets prices will be the same price as last year. Wristbands will be $20 each. Good from noon to 6:00 pm. Tickets are $1 per coupon, a sheet of 50 coupons will be sold for $40. The number of tickets per ride has not changed from last year either. So, most kiddie rides are 2 coupons, most major rides are 3 coupons, and spectacular rides are 4 coupons.

Junior Firefighters Challenge

Time: 12:00am - 6:00pm

Where: City Hall / Fire Station

Summer Happening Craft Show

Come to Downtown Linden where the streets are filled with crafters displaying and selling their creations on Friday and Saturday.

Where: Downtown Broad Street.

When: Friday June 25th opening at 1:00 AM and Saturday June 26th opening at 11:00 AM.

Summer Happening Pedal Pusher Tractor Pull
Pedal Pusher Tractor Pull is free to children ages 3 through 10. Grouped by ages the children compete to pull a weighted trailer across the finish line. Sponsored by Linden True Value

Where: Downtown

When: Friday June 25th.

Signup: 2:00 PM .

When: Competitions start at 3:00 PM

Summer Happening Wee Lad Wee Miss Contest

For ages 1 month to 10 are invited to participate in the Wee Ladd Wee Miss photo contest. All participants then are invited to ride on the float in the parade on Saturday.

Where: Entertainment Tent

When: Friday June 25th at 5:30 PM

Linden Summer Happening Street Dance

Where: Downtown Broad St.

Cost: Free... Free... Free...

When: 8:00pm to 10;00pm (Friday and Saturday)

Summer Happening Fireworks:

Where: Fireworks are set off between Linden Elementary and Hyatt Elementary. Park at Hyatt Elementary (Old Middle School) and enter off Stan Eaton Dr.

Greal Lake Fireworks puts on a fabulous display of fireworks at dusk on Friday with 450 displays. Fireworks are set off at the Linden Elementary School parking lot and the best viewing is in the Linden Middle School and carnival grounds.

The fireworks display is made possible by the generous donations from Linden and the surrounding communities. Please remember to donate when you see the collections so we can continue to provide such a fabulous free show.
